I painted this piece as a tongue-in-cheek statement. Using the most ubiquitous emissary of extinction, I wanted to get the viewer to imagine the world if the tables were turned— a world where animals were painting smug pictures of each other posing proudly with the bones of our dead, as we have done throughout history.
