Tribute to Marion Stoddart
Fitchburg, MA // 140′ x 26′ // 2015
Collaboration with JAllen.
Beginning in the 70s, Ms. Stoddart began a movement to clean up the Nashua River in central Massachusetts and hold accountable the mills and factories that were dumping chemicals directly into the river. We believed it was important and eye-opening to show that one person can make an enormous difference if they’re willing to be loud enough and work hard enough. Marion’s example is just one of many individual efforts that have been forgotten over time, but that we wanted to publicize and encourage people to recognize and follow.
