“Restoration” was painted for USQ in the redevelopment of Union Square in Somerville. It celebrates the River Otter, an indicator species that returns to a river once the water quality is high enough for survival. Their presence was one of the ways that scientists measured the health of the Charles River as they worked to restore it over the past few decades.
